Banks Channel Owner, Karen Bright is a licensed agent with 10+ years experience writing personal and commercial insurance on the coast. She has spent her entire insurance career specializing in writing polices for homeowner’s on the coast, and has a vast knowledge of the wind/hail and flood needs in the area. Karen is also knowledgeable in commercial lines and life insurance and is able to answer questions and meet the special needs of clients starting a new business or shopping for new insurance. She has the ability to research multiple carriers to get the best pricing and policy possible. Having moved here from Vermont, Karen understands the different needs for insurance on coastal properties and is able to answer the questions people have who are new to coastal living.

Karen moved to Wilmington after graduating from the University of Vermont in 2001. In her spare time she enjoys time on the boat with her husband and daughter and traveling back to New England to see her family. She volunteers locally with multiple organizations and most enjoys services that benefit educating children in our area. Karen and her husband are expecting twins in the summer!
Kim Baxter is a licensed agent with Banks Channel Insurance with 14 years of experience writing personal and commercial insurance on the coast. She grew up in Brunswick county and has spent her insurance career writing coastal insurance. Kim’s experience has allowed her to not only understand the ins-and-outs of insurance, but also to service hundreds of families regarding their protection needs.
